We are delighted that The Donna Louise Children's Hospice is part of an historic celebration of football taking place at Britannia Stadium on Saturday 12th July 2008.

We are delighted that The Donna Louise Children's Hospice is part of an historic celebration of football taking place at Britannia Stadium on Saturday 12th July 2008. The charity football game is part of the celebrations accompanying the unveiling of a bronze statue of England World Cup-winner Banks by legendary Brazilian star Pele and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see footballing legends John Barnes, Matt Le Tissier, Ian Rush and many more taking to the field alongside well-known faces from showbiz such as James Nesbitt, Ralf Little and X-Factor star Shane Ward. The two teams - Gordon Banks XI and Pele XI will be managed by the 2 footballing legends, assisted by Stoke City Manager Tony Pulis and global icon for Peace Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
